Who in the play is affected by a moral disease ?

Krogstad is seen to be morally diseased in the play ‘A Dolls house’. This can be sees when
Krogstad admitted to knowing the signature was not of her fathers, this is shown when
Krogstad says “Your rather signed the IOU three days after his death” and how “It’s rather
curious too that the words ‘2nd of October’ and the year are not written in your fathers
hand, but in a hand I seem perhaps to recognize. Krogstad accepts Nora’s application for a
loan, although it was evidently a forged signature. This goes against any morals on its own,
however, he then uses this as black mail to Nora in the near future, just adding to his moral
disease.

Nora is also seen to be morally diseased in the play ‘A Dolls house’. This can be shown when
Nora went against Torvald by loaning money, which he does not advise or accept to do. “But
seriously, Nora; you know my thoughts on this issue. No debts! Never borrow”. Nora has
always been well aware that Torvald hates to borrow money, yet still does it behind his back
whilst hiding it. Another way we see Nora is morally diseased, is when she lies to Torvald
about eating a macaroon.
“ No I assure you Torvald” “ Absolutely not” both which she replies when asked about
spending money in town, although she had done so.
We lastly see Nora’s moral disease when she says “I wish id inherited a great many of
Daddy’s qualities” in which she is implying she didn’t get his good qualities, this moral
disease.
