Garbage Separation

Garbage Separation is a complete guideline which compries of a written procedure for collecting,
storing, processing and disposing of garbage generated on board ship

There are 5 garbage bin to use in garbage separation, namely: Red bin, Grey bin, Blue bin, Yellow bin
and White bin.

1. Red bin is used for leftover food only.

2. Grey bin is used for papers, plastics, ciggerrete butts, rags, wine corks and woods.

3. Blue bin is used for aluminium foils and cans of beer, soda and juice.

4. Yellow bin is used for bottles and broken glass ware.

5. White bin is used for broken china ware only.
