ClassDojo

Part of encouraging class community is getting students motivated and willing to show good behavior.
To accomplish this, I created an account with ClassDojo and signed up my class of 10 th grade Geometry
students.

The ClassDojo tool allows me to communicate and reward the whole class, but it also has the
functionality of dividing the class into groups. Below is a screenshot of my geometry class divided into
three groups:

The main purpose of ClassDojo is to reward students with good behavior by giving them points
whenever they practice desirable habits. Below are the positive collaboration behaviors that I will
reward students for:

Here are the negative behaviors that I can send as a warning for students who are not acting
appropriately:

I chose to give points for good behavior and not take points off for negative behavior, because I want
this to be a positive experience for all students. The students who misbehave probably have difficulty
gaining points in the first place, so I don’t want to take any of those points away from them once they
have earned them.
