The Lost Bow

Chapter One: Find some demigods

I am Apollo, god of lots of stuff like poetry, archery, and sun etc…. I just am
writing it to keep up what happened in my whole immortal life (Please don’t
mind the spelling mistakes). The first thing what happened on the island of
Delos (my birth place) was that I lost my beautiful bow Hephaestus crafted like
few days ago. I just shot like few hundreds of arrows in to the red dot on my
archery board, I just went to reload my quiver with a few more arrows. The
next minute I came back, it was not there. I mean who would want steal god’s
stuff, especially the coolest god.

I wanted to complain to dad (Zeus) but that would look childish. So I went to
meet the kindest centaur I knew, Chiron. With my godly vision, I found him in
no time. I just went there in like few minutes, since I flew.

When I went there, Chiron was teaching sword combat to couple of some
demigods, in the west of Mount Pelion. When he saw me he looked a little like
he needed help.

“Lord Apollo, nice to meet you,” Chiron greeted with pleasure.

“Ok nice to meet you too, I need some help.” I said a bit pleasingly.

“Happens all the time, gods always need help from me or some mortals. So
what is the problem?”

“It’s my most important thing, my bow. The bow Hephaestus gifted me. I lost it
or someone just stole it”

“Why would anybody do that to you, I mean you were born like a few months
ago, you didn’t make any enemies, didn’t you?” Chiron asked tried for an
encouraging answer.

That was true; I just was given birth few months ago so this is the first problem
I came across. I didn’t make any enemies except Hera and she doesn’t need it
at all.

I thought for a while, nobody. Well a thief would steal anything from anybody
so it must be a thief.
“Could be a thief, plus Hera doesn’t need it at all, “I told the most encouraging
answer.

“Now what do you think we do now,” Chiron said. “Make some demigods to
find it or something?”

“Yeah, you are probably right. So you can select some disciples of yours to find
my bow, right.”

“About that, I have few students who actually excelled me. But it can be
dangerous for them," Chiron said but his voice was a bit low. “They aren’t as
good as me in being alive.”
