ESCAPE-5
Bled, Slovenia, Europe, 11-14 June, 1995

Organised under the sponsorship of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE)
23th Event of the EFCE Working Party on Computer Aided Process Engineering

The major aim of ESCAPE-5 is to review the latest developments with the use of computers and
information tools in design and operation in the process industries. ESCAPE-5 will take place in Bled, at
one of the most beautiful Alpine lakes. It is close both to the Italian and Austrian borders with all kinds of
entertainment.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

The topics covered at this Symposium will focus on the latest developments in computer aided process
systems engineering in general and the following areas of chemical and biochemical engineering in
particular:

-Process synthesis, integration, design and retrofit


-Process flowsheeting, simulation, optimization, process data estimation, reconciliation and manage-
ment
-Process dynamics, safety and control
-Process operation, economics and computer integrated management
-Computing, graphics and numerical methods, expert system, artificial intelligence, logic, neural
networks in process systems engineering
