In this activity, you are required to discuss your answers to the following statement
briefly.

A. Social Work:
For me, social work is not an easy job, you’re expose to the society every day and
expose to the pollution. You’ll meet different kinds of problem and needs in every family
you met.
B. Social Services:
- Social services are the task of a social workers, they give services to the people
who are in needs and to the people in the society. Like in the video, they offer services
to the people in the society, like send them to school, teaching their parents/mother a
way of living.
C. Social Welfare:
- Social welfare as I’ve seen in the video, they are providing help to the people.
Like the girl they talked about in the video, that it was a victim of sexual harassment,
and after that they conducted a research on how to help the girl.
D. Social Worker:
- Social worker is the people who are whole heartedly works for the people in the
society; to the families that need help in the government. Whom working hard to make
changes in the society by preventing poverty. Social worker is ready to commit his life
just to provide help for those people who are in needs.
E. Social functioning
- It is useful when there are people or a social worker who are very observant to
the people surrounds him. Like for example again to the girl who got abused not by their
neighborhood, there was a teacher who observed that she is not paying attention to the
class, and that is when they ask the girl.
F. Client
- Their client is the people in the society, mostly the people who are poor and
uneducated. The social worker help those people. And that is their client.
G. Need
- The needs of the people in the video is they are lacking on how to make a living.
H. Problem
- The problem or the problem in the society is, as I’ve seen in the video, the kids
are working, instead of studying; just to survive every day, helping their parents. They
do not have a family planning that is why the poverty increases every year because they
had many kids and they are not able to provide or sustain them properly.
I. Social welfare goal
- Social Welfare goal is the goal of a social worker too. Because the social worker
gives the services to the people in the society. There goal is to make a better change in
the society.
J. Person-in-environment situation
- Person-in-environment situation is for me as I’ve seen in the video, is these are
the social worker. Because they are the one observing the environment. But also it can
be the people in the society.
