2-STOREY RESIDENTIAL HOUSE

Objectives:

This activity aims to express the individual creativity and craftsmanship

of students by allowing them to conceptualize and draw a design for a two-

storey residential house. It aims to enhance students’ capability in producing

scaled drawings in AutoCADD such as Architectural drawing, structural and

electrical drawings. This exercise shall enhance their designing skills with major

considerations on strength, utility and beauty of a simple residential house.

Instructions:

 Students shall conceptualize a design for a residential house and

such design should be functional and of aesthetic value.

 The lot area is 966sqm. With setback in all sides.

 Proper design considerations must be applied and all standard

dimensions must be complied in their individual designs.

 Drawings shall be properly labeled and with dimensions and drawn

using a scale of 1:100m.

 Student will use proper layers in each items/drawing and proper line

weight must be applied

 Final design shall be presented in PDF, paper size must be 20x30 in

AutoCADD and landscape layout, complete with the prescribed title

block changing the plate number, title and date. All writings should

be in architectural lettering.
