2. In the provision of learning opportunities, the health and safety of our learners,
teaching and non-teaching personnel are of utmost importance and priority and
must be always protected.
3. To ensure the safe return to schools and offices when allowed by the Inter-
Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF)
and Office of the President, this Office issues the enclosed General Protocols on
Safe Return to Schools and Offices.
B. Reduce Transmission
4. Encourage frequent handwashing with soap and water, and discourage the
touching of the eyes, nose, and mouth, through appropriate information
and education campaigns.
5. Online health declaration of personnel, visitors and learners the day prior
to physical reporting and/or visit in all offices and schools for timely
assessment and screening of those personnel or visitors exhibiting
symptoms of COVID-19 or has been tested by COVID-19 and is awaiting
result in order to hamper the spread of COVID-19 disease in the workplace
and schools.
6. Ensure that WASH facilities are all working and have soaps and alcohols/
sanitizers.
7. Routine cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched and shared
surfaces and objects at least twice a day and after every session of

10.Implementation of strict physical distancing of at least 1-2 meters apart in
all common areas such as offices, classrooms, canteen or eating areas, etc.
11.Travel and activities of teaching, non-teaching personnel, and learners
shall be limited to those most essential, 50% capacity of the venue is
allowed or as directed by IATF. For large physical gatherings such as
meetings, trainings and conferences, online platforms for shall be utilized.
12.Alternative Work Arrangement to minimize contact shall be strictly
implemented. Strictly no schedule or appointment, no entry.
13. Reduce movement within the school and workplaces.
14. Implement temporary closure or suspension of classes and work when
COVID-19 confirmed cases appear.
Enclosure No 2:
All are required to wear face mask and face shield at all times,
whether indoors or outdoors.
A cloth face mask or a nonmedical face mask is advised for all,
whereas medical or surgical face masks are advised only to those
with respiratory symptoms.
