TASK 1:

A business rises or falls with the quality of its leaders. Negative leadership traits can ripple
out and blight the whole team meanwhile positive qualities can inspire peak performance.
Learning to differentiate positive and negative qualities of a leader can help you identify
which leaders to avoid.

The first substantial quality of being a great leader is being decisive as the ability to make
fast, difficult resolutions with limited time or information is critical. Therefore, being a
confident decision-maker will allow a leader to capitalize on opportunities and earn the
respect of employees. Moreover, integrity is another important trait for a leader or an
organization. In almost all strategic planning in large corporations, all the executives agree on
the importance of complete honesty in everything they do since truthfulness is the foundation
quality for the trust that is very important to any business. Great leaders are always
outstanding at strategic planning. They always have the ability to look ahead to anticipate
with some accuracy where the markets are going and anticipate trends well in advance of
their competitors.

On the other hand, inconsistency is a negative quality that a lot of leaders have. Leaders who
are inconsistent of their behavior will speedily convince others that they are not dependable
enough to be the head of tasks; this also shows how incompetent and irresponsible they are.
Inconsistency can lead to a team being baffled and pressured. Besides, loss of transparency
can result in a lack of trust and loyalty to leaders. The lack of trust could lead to the failure of
the cause they are leading. It could also lead to the end of their time as leaders. Apart from
that, leaders need to be able to effectively communicate in a variety of ways and with a
variety of people. In fact, a person with poor communication skills cannot successfully
share the goals, missions to achieve them.

As a leader, you will have your actions and your subordinates actions under your
responsibility. You must acknowledge the mistakes you’ve been making, and improve the
most important traits for your team.
