Aim of Course
The principal aim of the course will be to furnish an appreciation of Johannine literature as
Good News, with reference to the theological perspective of the author. The course will
further aim at providing a basic familiarity with the passage, cultivate a love for the scripture
and enhance its application in daily life.
Method
● Read together the Word of God which is the primary source connected with history
● A course of lectures during which discussion is encouraged; however due to the
large number of attendees, only a few participants might be able to share their inputs
● It is essential that the lectures be supplemented by personal reading. It is expected
that the resulting findings will be organized in the form of personal notes for the
course.
● At the end of every session, participants are encouraged to write a brief summary in
a minimum of 100 words their answers to the following questions and submit by the
following Sunday:
○ What inspired me?
○ What challenged me?
○ How am I going to apply these insights in my daily life?
