For me, Ángela Maria Ponce Camacho is a woman.

If she considers herself as a

woman, then, she is a woman. She is openly a transgender woman and I don’t see it as
something peculiar or unusual. A lot of people has different perspective about the
pageant because they are saying that it is unfair because Angela is still a man. They
say that a man has different capabilities from women and joining the pageant makes it
more improper.

I don’t see anything wrong with it because the pageant let her join and that means, it is
just fine. In my opinion, this is not supposed to be an issue. It’s her life and decisions.
We shouldn’t say anything disrespectful towards her. People often forget the difference
between criticism and bashing.

People should start considering other gender/pronoun. Not being straight does not
mean being different. And I think, saying something or treating someone unfairly
because of their identity is destructive criticism rather than constructive criticism. One of
the reason why people are against Angela for joining the pageant is because they are
threatened. Anyone can do whatever they want as long as their actions and the results
of their actions doesn’t harm anyone.
