Introduction

In a technology driven generation, constant innovation and changes are adamant. NextGen, an
technology based embodiment of efficiency which was developed by the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA), an act for modernization. NextGen aims to enhance safety and security of
the U.S. air traffic system with the use of radar-based surveillance and precise satellites to
monitor aircrafts. They are focused on using new generation of technology such as GPS-
enabled technologies and advanced flight data for systematic monitoring. This system will give
new capabilities as the initiative advances, providing access and safety benefits to both major
and small general aviation facilities. Commercial airports will be able to meet demand for
greater capacity in a safe, efficient, and ecologically friendly manner thanks to NextGen
capabilities.
