Position: Inventory Forester

Location: Roseburg, Oregon

Lone Rock Resources, headquartered in Roseburg, Oregon, is a family owned and operated company managing

in a wide spectrum of activities including: reforestation, silviculture, inventory, cruising, forest land appraisal,
surveying, road construction, log sales, and logging. Lone Rock is a progressive, cutting-edge tree growing

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform inventory cruises to collect accurate forest inventory information on company lands
• Assist in the development of long-term harvest plans
• Provide information and support for land management activities
• Edit and maintain GIS data
• Assist with forest land appraisals and acquisitions
• Implement Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Policy
• Special projects as needed

Requirements:
• B.S. or higher in forestry related field
• Highly motivated, organized, and attentive to detail
• Ability to work on adverse terrain in all types of weather
• Good analytical skills with a basic understanding of statistics
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and safely with little direct supervision
• Team player – able to understand and work well with different personalities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including: Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving history

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ years experience with forest inventory
• Familiar with general principles of growth models
• Experience with GIS
