1. Do not leave what you are cooking especially if the fire is strong because it
can be harmful if you forget to turn it off the stove tragedy can happen if you
leave the stove and it has light materials next to it such as wood it can burn
and can also this may have caused the deaths of a few people in your area.
2. Extension cords can overheat and cause fires when used improperly.
Overheating is usually caused by overloading or connecting appliances that
consume more watts than the cord can handle. Damaged extension cords can
also cause fires. Extension cords should only be used temporarily.
3. Never use an appliance with a worn or frayed cord, which can send heat onto
combustible surfaces like floors, curtains, and rugs that can start a fire.
Running cords under rugs is another cause of electrical fires.
