PROGRAM DETAILS
With the new normal of working remotely, social development or CSR projects
are facing unprecedented challenges to monitor, collect real-time and high-
quality data, lack of IT resources for interventions, quality check or mechanism
to authenticate data quality on ground and to measure the true impact.
The program intends to provide in-depth knowledge and training on building
your own digital data collection systems to collect real-time and high-quality
data.
The training shall focus on:
Transforming paper-based survey forms into digital copies (ODK/SurveyCTO).
Designing and testing complex survey forms, learning randomization, and
setting up automatic workflows for preloading data.
Adding quality and data monitoring checks, integrating digital forms with
external tools, and visualizing incoming data in real-time.
Building your own computer-assisted telephonic interviews
(CATI) and field tracking systems for collecting data
FEES:
offline/online through phone/web based medium. Rs.10,000/-
Learning best practices for collecting high-quality, secure + 18% GST
data – both online and offline.

The training curriculum is designed for non-IT background professionals


working in the social sector.

Base software and technology platform


Training would be based on open-source (ODK) Technology platform, and
Survey CTO will be the base software used for teaching
Who should participate?
CSR/ NGO Professionals, Academic researchers, Research Associates and
Managers, M&E Professionals, ODK Programmers and students who are
working on data collection or field research in the social sector.

Total number of sessions will be 5 (2 hours per session)
VIKAS ARORA
LEAD TRAINER

Vikas  is working as the Lead, Training and Training  Support for Trestle
Research and Consulting (previously Dobility India Pvt Ltd). He is also a
consultant for SurveyCTO and provides technical support to SurveyCTO users
across the globe.  He is a seasoned development practitioner, academic
researcher and has years of experience in teaching, research and analysis. He
has been enormously involved in teaching several courses in the Public Health
sector and has implemented numerous Monitoring and Evaluation projects in
Rural India and Bangladesh.  He enjoys using his background in computer
science and his Masters of Public Health to bridge technology and health, and
he is passionate about increasing the use of ICT in health and field research.
 
 

Vikas  has trained over 500+ development professionals from 60+ organizations,
primarily NGOs/Not For Profits/CSR/Social Institutions to successfully adopt
digital tools for their field research.
