ABSTRACT
Today, there are two dominant building construction materials— steel and concrete. They make

a good combination in construction. This study, therefore, aims to determine the building frame

preference based on the different features of the structural building frames particularly the

comparison between concrete and steel. The participants involved in this study are the licensed

engineers and licensed architects who are expert in this field. The preferred building frame

features by the Engineers and Architects are as follows: strength and safety, material

availability, environmental impact, cost effectiveness, construction scheduling, design

possibilities and life-span. The researchers, together with the help of architects and engineers in

Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela Province, were able to acquire the data needed, to determine the best

material for building.
