1. What is Physical Education?

- Physical Education, also known as Phys Ed., gym, or gym class, and in some commonwealth
countries as physical training, is a class that pupils are required to take at school.

2. What is the Main Goal of Physical Education?


- The goal of physical education is to develop physically literate individuals who have the
knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity.

3. What is Fitness?
- Fitness is the condition of being physically fit and healthy and involves attributes that
include, but are not limited to mental acuity, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular
strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility.

4. What are the Health Related Fitness Components?

-There are five components of Physical Fitness.

•Body composition

•Flexibility

•Muscular strength

•Muscular endurance

•Cardiorespiratory endurance

5. What are the Performance Related Fitness Components?


- Furthermore, an individual's physical fitness includes performance-related components.
These six components measure specific skills-set, and include:

•Agility

•Coordination

•Balance

•Power

•Reaction time

•Speed
