W
hat is this strange thing? An evil health crisis
which led to many emotional tears, Endless
throbbing pains A virulent virus that is claiming
many precious lives The merciless global killer wave
` The leader of this suffering

Are these the pernicious effects of our forefathers’ sinning? Thrusting

us into a world full of secrets Making us literally walk on eggshells
Without knowing when this alien war will end Will this blazing fire ever die
to cold ashes?

We all have many questions about this virus Surprisingly, Even the origin
has been skewed from the very beginning Hence, immense fear of
contracting this deadly virus; Has made everyone scared out of their
wits Eliciting negative stereotypes on anyone sneezing or coughing
Like the social stigma attached to single parenthood Normalizing
the abnormal

The whole world tremble at the mention of this mysterious name,

Like a sudden violent earthquake Parents and siblings are
unable to articulate the void and unhappiness they feel Tears
of sorrow cascade down their cheeks everyday As the death
toll keeps rising

The covid-19 pandemic cast a shadow over social

gatherings Who would have known that we were going
to wear these face masks always like workers in dirty
industries? Its unpleasant infiltration left very dark
imprints in our hearts

Each passing day, We receive the sad news

that pierces our hearts Beyond any doubt, This
virus is indeed a shadow full of bullets that
are impossible to dodge

Our frolicsome afternoons, Became sluggish

winter nights Where exactly is this world
heading to? The desolate Kalahari Desert?
What will be left of our country really? What
will be left of this world? Besides the poignant
reminder of our unsung heroes
And the remnants of these cold ashes

We shed blood tears everyday Our piercing

cries keep hitting very hard on compacted
soil Regardless of how much tears of sorrow,
Mountains full of misfortunes we encounter
Even if we climb the top of the mountain No
one will hear our cries That’s how much this
virus has infiltrated the heart of this world.

As I gazed through the bus window I noticed a

development that was exacerbating the
congestion at the intersection: vehicles that
were moving along our direction had colonized

written by Tervin Chivandika.
So myself as a Financial Agent, today after work l had to take a trip to Mbare around the
Mupedzanhamo area to do quick financial research to evaluate how are the cash flows doing in that
environment, however from my analysis l got to realize that Mbare is a very active business spot, l
saw some potential vendors selling vegetables, bales, electricals, grains, kitchenware, hardware,
crafting, fast foods, furniture, etc. the list is endless.

I could also see some latest Benz, Range Rovers, and BMWs parked around Matapi flats, l also had to
confirm from one of the powerful Mbare vendors Joel Mabasa well known as "Baba Zoro" who bought
a brand new UD 90 truck last week for US$85 000 just from selling potatoes, butternuts and sweet
potatoes. Also, Chengetai Makoni well known as "Mai Bee" bought a business stand in Ruwa for US$87
000 in June this year and she testified she made it all from selling hardware materials.

Well, the results from my research are too many but from my observation l was so disappointed to
the last point to realize that its the late majority which is mostly participating and making money
around Mbare environment, l couldn’t see youths participating, l couldn’t see youths selling potatoes,
l couldn’t see youths selling hardware, etc. Now reflecting on what is happening on social media, with
just a click you will see and hear youths always complaining about economic hardships yet in real
life they are not participating in the business environments, the time which youths spend going out
for gym, photoshoot, hanging around in town, playing FIFA, playing GTA, playing Snooker, watching
pornography, watching Star Life, etc. All that time could be used wisely to do essential activities that
bring income. So from my conclusion l figured out that youths need to be educated rather than being
given money, heritage, assets, etc. which they end us squandering coz they don’t know the value of
money. Youths should be taught how to save, how to sell, how to serve customers, how to manage
stock etc. This weekend again I’m still yet to discover what is happening in Chitungwiza and I am
looking forward to engaging with youths that will take a challenge to participate in the business
environment.

It’s no longer a high time for youths around 20 years to be still depending on parents, a youth should
employ him/herself, a youth should pay bills and bring food on his/her table without any support
from the parents, a youth should buy beer for him/herself not to crook and pump out the
hard-earned money from the innocent parents. Inbox me and let's discuss the way forward if you
think you are a youth that may take a
challenge to engage in the business environment_
