Public News Droid

Public News Droid is an Advanced and Informative System helping

the users to know the news, articles or any interesting things happening
around their Locality. This System helps the local public to keep
themselves up to date about the happenings around their vicinity or
locality or in their City. There are 2 apps for this system to work; one for
the admin and another for the user. The user is allowed to view the
news only of his city while user can add news related to any city. Admin
will monitor if any abuse or irrelevant or fake news added by any users
and will take some action. The Front end used is Android Studio while
backend as SQL Server. The user has to register into the system to use
this app and can update his details as well.
The latest news is shown first and so on, the user can also refresh the
news resulting the latest one shown first and current news will be
closed. The user can add a picture and a title related to the news.
The user can use only 450 words to address the news. The Look and feel
of reading the news is exciting and amazing as the system provides
swipe to move to the next or previous news with transition effects.

User:
 Registration: The user has to register into the system
providing his personal details.

 Login: The user has to login into the system to add or view
the news, the user is remembered once he logs in until he
logs out saving his time to login every time.

 Add News: The user is allowed to add news selecting a city

or locality to refer to also adding a picture related to the
news.
  View News: The user can view the news based on the city
the user has selected.

 Added List: User can also view the list of news added by
him and action taken by admin if any.

 Report News: If the user finds any news is not true or

offensive he can report it to the admin and admin shall take
some action.

Admin:

 Login: Admin should login into the system to monitors

news or reports by the users.

 View News: Admin can view all the news of all the cities.

 View Reports: Admin is responsible to monitor any news

is been reported to him to cross check.

 Action Taken: Admin can either delete the news or modify

it if offensive or abusive language spoken in the news.

Software Requirements:
 Windows XP, Windows 7(ultimate, enterprise)
 Android Studio

 Processor – i3
 Hard Disk – 5 GB
 Memory – 1GB RAM
 Android Phone with kitkat and higher.

Advantages:
 The user is updated with everything going around his city.
 The user is allowed to add minute to minute news which is
not hyped but necessary that people should know.
 Easy to use.
 The news can be viewed only by registered users.
 The user can report to the admin if the news is not relevant
or outspoken.

Disadvantages:
 It requires an active internet connection.
 The user can’t view the news of different cities.
 User can add only one picture per news.

Applications:
 This system can be used by small communities or news
based companies.
 There are many applications similar to this one currently
having a great success in the market.
