In the early 90s of the 20th century, Vietnamese television often showed black

and white films of socialist countries such as Poland, the Czechoslovakia,

sometimes French and Italian films but most are still Soviet films, which for me
are dull.
When I was about 6 or 7 years old, I often went to the neighbor's house with
my father to watch martial arts and martial arts movies. Video player appered in
Viet Nam for the first time
Hollywood action movies, Hong Kong gangsters and even adult movies have
permeated me. Now I realize that when I was a kid, I watched a lot of arthouse
films that untilI now I can understand and find good.

The films of Martin scorsese and Tanrantino, Akira

Kurosawa made me interested and wanted to make
films. later directors like Tsai Ming Liang, Edward
Jang, Abbas kiarosta mi and Kim Ki Duk made me
understand the language of cinema because Asian
films are close to me.
I realized a different concept of beauty. The film was
shot with many cameras with different quality that
most Dp consider bad.
I finally discovered Jim JarMusch, and the movie
that helped me find myself was Down By Law.
Minimalist, funny, raw and magical.
Jim gives me the feeling that filmmaking is simple,
although not simple at all.
