It is generally believed that the Internet is an excellent means of communication but some people

suggest that it may not be the best place to find information.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, communication are being facilitated faster than in any order period, with some people
attributing it to the advent of the Internet. Others, however, remain skeptical about how trustful online
information can be. I believe that there is no better alternative than the Internet both in terms of
communicating and searching for information.

The convenience of online communication can rather be obvious if we compare it to how information
was delivered in the past. Historically, people had to train pigeons, rode a horse, or boarding a ship in
order to send letters, which took time and were generally unreliable. Now even a door-stopping book
can be emailed in less than one hour, and the sender are totally sure than the information will be
received by the receiver. Another reasons is that the Internet provides good ways to record information
during business communication. Orders given during conversation can be forgotten or misheard,
without anyone to blame for; however, if business tasks are delivered by emails then veryone will be
informed of the decision and will act upon their responsibilities. I can share my own story, as my boss
requires everyone in the company to give and confirm a task by emailing; this helps the company run
like a well-oiled machine.

Some people distrust the Internet; they call it a breeding ground for misinformation, but I find this view
rather egregious. For every piece of hoax news on the Internet, there are counter-arguments provided
by reputed news reporters and specialists; it is just that we need to look up at the right one. Four years
ago, the incumbent President of the United State – Donald Trump, was ridiculed by a CNN’s reporter on
Twitter on how he acted in an uncultured manner during his visit to Japan. However, it was later
revealed by various news channels that the U.S President just copied the Japanese Prime Minister’s
doing, which meant Trump did nothing wrong. Without the Internet, there would be no way to quickly
search for the truth. Popular newspapers and books now are all digitalized, which means reading them
on the Internet is much easier and cheaper than buying the hard copies.

In conclusion, the Internet is the best place to communicate and find information.
