Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.

(JAM) is an admission test conducted every year by around all India for
admission into Master of Science (M.Sc.) and other post-graduate science programs at Indian
Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), organized by alternating institutes
every year. JAM has been conducted since 2004.

The 2021 edition will be organized by Indian Institute of Science.

There are some points that should be avoided in the Preparation for JAM :

1. Don’t Waste Your Time :- Be careful about your timetable. Don’t waste your time in lengthy
topics which you don’t understand.

2. Be Serious :- Seriousness is the personality of a competitor for any exam because this habit is
made by the person.

3. Don’t be limitless :- Sometimes people forget to learn not to be limitless because it’s habitual of
an inquisitive persons.

4. Don’t be Anxious :- Anxiety is a feature of a human being during exam times. Learn all your
topics and revise them thoroughly.

5. Cool & Calm :- Don’t be stressed. Be cool and calm because calmness brings one out of all the
problems.

6. Don’t forget the PYQ paper :- Learn all things and topics. Preparations from previous year
question paper is quite helpful for exams.

7. Practice Practice & Practice :- Don’t forget to practice even till the last moment because
practice is a base of our learning. If you haven’t learned then it is because your practice is
incomplete. Without practice, it is not possible to clear your exam.

8. Work on your weak points :- Don’t give up on a problem until you get the conceptual clarity
about the solution. Give more time to the topics which are your weaknesses.

9. Focus on main points :- Don’t involve in too much theory type of questions for your preparation.
Instead of this, go for numerical question.

10. Don’t be Stressed :- focus on your main topic and don’t be stressed during exam time for tricky
topics.
