The natives accept Magellan in a nice and hospitable way after knowing that they will not harm

the
island. I think Pigafetta’s background as a Catholic and as a part of the Spanish expedition affect the
narrative written because one of their goals is to spread Christianity therefore most of his writings and
narration talks on Christianity especially the baptism. I also think that Pigafetta exhibit biases in writing
the baptism because he ust only write the positive side of the story/events and focus on it more
although there are some negative but we can really say that he wanted his writings to impress and amze
the Spanish.
