Risk Identification

1. Technological risk: school security system being hacked on which affects the data
privacy of the students and the whole school staffs exposed for illegal doings.
2. Technological and Reputation Risk – Due to the pandemic, USJ-R has to shift and adapt to have
classes online and utilize an online learning management system which is something new not
only to the entity but also to of its students, employees, and teachers. Experiencing this type of
learning set up for the first time can be somewhat difficult due to how very different it is
compared to the face-to-face learning set up. The risk here is how it would affect the Quality
Christian Community-Oriented Education the school is offering.
3. Financial Risk –The students’ parents momentarily stopped working due to the workplace had
close for the quarantine regulations implemented for a few months. Furthermore, other parents
had to find for a new job or means to earn mainly for the sustenance and utility bills of the
family. Due to this, the students’ parents might not be able to enroll their children to online
classes due to how expensive it is compared to the traditional classes.
4. Health, Safety, and Environmental Risk: With the entity’s building structure and considering
how old (main campus building), it has been since it was originally built, possible that the old
building to collapse or in cases when there is maintenance, of falling debris.
5. Identity risk: a person claiming to be a student of USJ-R in order to get financial help from
others. Since some students tend to post what their IDs look like or the culprits have seen the ID
format of the USJ-R personally and managed to have a virtual copy and duplicated it for their
personal interests.
6. Credit risk: Failure to collect receivables in a timely manner where some students may not be
able to pay their account balances and this may affect the entity’s financial status.
7. Integrity risk: Teachers or staffs that does dishonest acts - Hiring people with such
characters would cause a lot of trouble for the schools reputation towards its current and
prospective enrollees'.
8. Reputational Risk – The school allows the formation of student organizations inside the school
which would help nurture future leaders and also in creating a good environment for the
students. To add on, the school also allows the student organizations to hold activities and/or
events for the students. If the events happen smoothly without any complications, it would be
beneficial not only to the students but also of the entity. However, there would be always be
risk of allowing students to organize and lead activities and events, especially now everything is
done online. There is a possibility that students involve in the activities or events might do
misbehaviors online or scandalous acts which can affect the school’s image and the other
students since they also represent the school to the public.
9. Legal risk: Actions of negligence towards the students' safety - Schools have the
responsibility to keep a safe environment for all students that is why an act of negligence can
make liable. Approving events/activities lead by the students also makes the school liable if
any mishaps would happen.
10. Health risk: Covid-19 infection, Employees coming in and out the school premises
having some possibility to be contaminated.
Risk # Description Probability Impact Risk rating
Rating Rating
1 The rise of cyber-attack cases in our country 4 4
makes the school become vulnerable to it,
most especially now, USJR is running its
operations online and transactions are
mostly done online as well. This would
greatly affect in relation to financial losses
and reputation damage
2 Experiencing this type of learning set up for 3 3
the first time, the entity may suffer from
losing students due to the poor choice of LMS
and poor delivery of services. If the entity
managed to adapt and do things right, they
would benefit and have satisfied students
who would continue to trust them for their
excellent online education services.
3 It can’t be denied that the entity’s students 3 2
are also affected greatly by the pandemic.
The pandemic not only hindered the entity of
its day-to-day operations but it also affected
its main financial source, the students.
4 With all the repair and maintenance, it is 1 5
less likely to occur but if it will have the
chance, it would be a huge loss of the
university.
5 Though there has been a case already in our 2 2
school, the likelihood for it to happen is
unlikely since the school is keen verifying
the validity of an information. The
happening of which would not greatly affect
the school since they can easily track and
report such activities.
6 Possibilities that students might be delayed 4 3
on their obligations and for the number of
students catered by the university, it could
give high chance for some students to
evade payment.

7 There could be chances especially when 1 3

the motive of the staff is different from
what it should be which have an effect not
just within the school but also to its
partners
8 With the values and beliefs that the USJ-R 1 5
Community upholds, it is less likely for a
scandal to occur. It might not be frequent,
but once a scandal occurs, the whole
community together with its belief system
might collapse.
9 The school is very strict in terms of 1 4
activity gathering, its rules and regulations
but if this could have the chance, then the
school will be liable to it.
10 The school holds its classes online and only 2 2
a few employees are working inside the
vicinity since some are working at home.
Still, the impact will in result to low,
knowing that not all will be affected and
following the safety protocols.
