Application:
METAGRAF Y is excellently suitable for preventing hard metal particles from sticking to the carrier
during sintering. The formation of an equal, dense layer prevents carbonization of the sintered parts.

Owing to its rheological properties, it is not necessary to dilute METAGRAF Y. It can be applied
instantaneously by spraying with corresponding equipment or be spread by brush. To obtain a
satisfactory thick layer, one application is in general sufficient. If required, METAGRAF Y can also
be applied several times without damaging the dried layer.

Since METAGRAF Y is a fast drying agent even at ambient temperature, the sintering carrier is
immediately ready-to-use. METAGRAF Y does not contain any volatile solvents and can, therefore,
be dried without taking any particular safety measures.

METAGRAF Y contains yttrium oxide particles, which are regularly spread in water. Agglomeration
and sedimentation of the particles can be reduced considerably through contained stabilizing
additives. The suspension should be homogenized well with a stirrer for example. In general, the
possibly existing soft sediment can thus be incorporated without any problems.

of changing conditions they can serve only as a guide and are therefore offered without
