Title: THE APPLICATION OF ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE TO THE DIFFERENT

SMEs WITHIN THE CITY OF KORONADAL ____

INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND

In today’s time where everything is going digital, the role of the accounting software is
getting more crucial for the running and the survival of any business, especially in the
current era when economic factors mean that keeping a tight control of finances is
extremely necessary for success. Using an accounting software could not only bring a
sense of discipline into financial operations, but it could also make the process of
calculating figures and sums far easier. Accounting software provides support in areas
such as keeping track of the orders and sales of the business, monitoring the day-to-day
expenses to its huge expenditures and keeping tabs on the inventory. Before accounting
software existed, accounting tasks had to be performed by hand, exposing the whole
process or operations of the business to basic human error, but technology has made the
accounting process a lot easier and less cumbersome compared to traditional methods.
These different accounting software enables the streamlining of the business operations
and automated various accounting processes making them fast and accurate.
Accounting systems and programs also creates the opportunity to make the
financial reports more accurate than just using the manual system. It helps track the
inventory, as well as the data needed when transacting with a customer. The programs
used by different businesses vary depending on the scale of reach of an establishment.
However, due to the cost it incurs to acquire such an advanced program, not many of the
businesses can afford to buy it.
