Dual Citizenship is a status of a person which he/she is a past of different country, not

as a foreigner but as a citizen. It may be granted in many given reasons, maybe because of your
birth, current location, or maybe the government of a certain country allows you to have. But do
remember that not all country issue and accept dual citizenship due to certain conditions.

Some countries like Austria, Norway and Japan do not allow its citizen to have dual
citizenship. It does not mean that they really never allow dual citizenship, but only on a certain
condition only, Take Japan as an example, they allow their citizen to hold dual citizenship until
the age of 22, but if they reach the age of 23, they must choose if they stay on as Japanese citizen
or loss theirs, some countries restrict dual citizenship in some other countries. Also, other
countries like Russia, allows dual citizenship, but they do not acknowledge your other
citizenship, and only be citizen of their country. But what exactly the advantage of having dual
citizenship? First it can gives you more privilege, like you can vote on two different country,
access their services, and even legally own properties on those countries. But in the other hand,
having dual citizenship means also that you have dual obligation on both countries. Obligations
like paying tax, and even serving their military if needed.

Having dual citizenship can give you both advantage and disadvantage, depends on
country. So it is important to be responsible for your citizenship, and be knowledgeable on
countries before getting citizenship. Know your rights and responsibilities, your duties and laws
that needed to follow.
