Digital newspaper on university

Introduction
I am proposing this proposal in order to “save” the university
newspaper. The university newspaper is a very beneficial activity for
students and stopping it will have negative effects on student’s
progress. That’s why I’m proposing to create a digital newspaper
which will replace the normal one due to the production problems.

Why a newspaper is important for the university community?

 The university newspaper is one of the few campus activities

that accurately represents the workplace
There are deadlines to meet, work ethics
to follow to, and roles to assingStudents learn how to work as a 
team and how to lead underpressure.Writing here is not the 
same as writing for an assignment.A newspaper writer does not 
submit work for gradingRather, he or she submits it for 
publishing, where hundreds of people will be
able to read it.Their priorities are
shifted.jThey must now consider their responsibilities to the rea
ders as well  as the university teacher.

 Working for a newspaper is similar to being ready for the real

world
It teaches the proper attitude to have in everyday life, such as 
admitting mistakes and learning from them. 
It educates pupils that they are mostly on their own, but they have a 
team to lean on if things become tough. 
They develop professionalism as well as the proper mindset for 
coping with pressure and accountability. 
They also learn to be fair because their work has the potential to 
affect people's lives. 
 Students have the opportunity to express themselves through
school publications.
 Students will be able to participate in discussions on social
concerns .
It is critical for people to believe that their opinions matter in all
subjects. They can then enhance their critical thinking skills
even more.

Advantages of a digital newspaper

 Digital newspapers are dynamic, accessible and immediate

1) Online newspapers and digital editions of print newspapers are

now more than ever used by the public. Digital newspapers
doesn’t need a stationary newsroom. They allow for instant
updates they can provide videos and many more.
2) An online newspaper allows the reader to interact with the
paper itself. Readers can now leave comments, watch videos,
view photo and can now contribute their own opinions and
written pieces to the paper. The wide range of access points
also contributes to the success of the online newspaper.
3) Viewers can get their news straight off their smartphone or
tablet computer. News is at their fingertips in an instant. Print
papers are slowly losing their luster while the online newspaper
continues to grow.”

Advantages of a digital newspaper in the university

 They can help students on the use of the technology
1) When a student is applying for a digital university newspaper
is something that requires a lot of technological use skills. By
 creating a digital newspaper basically makes students who
are not that much technological savvy come closer with
technology.
 Easier to find a specific theme
2) While in the TV news programs the TV channels decide what
is going to be announced, in the digital newspaper is flexible
enough to find whatever theme you want. Furthermore this
can be beneficial for students who read the digital
newspaper because they could now focus on the specific
theme they interested wherever they are.

Conclusion

It is crucial for the university to create a digital version of the

university newspaper because students can gain a lot of
skills and grow their attributes via this exciting activity.
