Gaming is a sport?

The world of video games is bigger and more dynamic than ever. The entire
global movie and music industry is not reaching the total gaming revenues.
Also, with the beginning of mobile games, more and more people of various
economic and cultural profiles are joining gaming. Most young people have
experienced gaming. However, for some, the hobby has grown into a life habit.
From the beginning of the competitive gaming they were some communities
that organized some competitions with a price for the winner. The increase in
prize funds that followed attracted more and more new players enabling the
competition and grow a huge competitive mindest among the players . On the
other hand, game publishers were joined in the gaming community by the first
serious sponsors and advertisers. Today, international eSports tournaments
are organized around the world. High school eSports leagues are becoming
equal to other sports leagues and the best gamer students are awarded
scholarships. Even celebrities from various industries are interested in personal
investment in the development of eSports. As in any other sport eSport
develops leadership skills as well as team spirit. Not only does this motivate us
to practice more and put in the extraordinary effort. The development of these
features is also characteristic of other sports – so it is not surprising that
competitors in eSports spend hours practicing or taking tips and learning how
to use upgraded features and in-game funds.
Most people believe that gaming is not a actual sport but im against this
opinion. Esports require many skills that on “normal sports” are required too,
skills like leadership, competitive mindset, leading spirit and more are required
in order to be a competitive Esport player as well as professional sports player.
Many people support that gamers and especially competitive ones are just
sitting on a couch an playing a video game. This opinion for a professional
Esports player doesn’t actually stands. Professionals gamers are trained hard
almost similar to normal athletes not in physical but in mostly mindset and
their reflexes. There are some cases that Esports training team is hiring
personal trainers in order to be physically good to handle the pressure and the
intense moment of the game.

Some experts support that the amount of cortisole produced from a Esports
gamer is about the same as a race-car-driver that’s a good reason to support
that Esports is actually a sport.
Another reason that can be crucial for considering e-sports as actual sport is
the communication skills that it requires. For younger gaming players an offline
video game could be a good start but when it comes to competitive gameplay
communication among all the players is required.

Lastly the most important argument to mention is inclusivity. Like most of the
“normal” sports they are facilities and some mechanic impairments for people
with disabilities in order for them to play the sport they like. In Esports some
color blind gaming options and various joysticks and controllers for physically
disabled people are existing the past few years.

In conclusion the argument between the two sides that arguing if Esports must
considered as an actual sport with this arguments must come to an end.
Esports has proven that its not for everyone and it demands many hours of
preparation and training in order to become successful.
