What is Bianca's response to Lucentio's (Cambio's) and Hortensio's (Litio's)


argument over who will tutor Bianca first? What does this reveal about her character?

Bianca looks excited by the competition, and decides that Lucentio is going to lecture her while
Hortensio tunes his instrument, once the lute is in tune, Hortensio takes control of the lessons.
Bianca seems in control. She stimulates the comic part of the scene and the arguing between
both.

2. What message to Bianca does Hortensio (Litio) encode in the gamut (scales)?
What is her response?

They have romantic in it meant to impress Bianca. Hortensio's words seem too desperate and
he begs for Bianca’s attention and affection. Bianca does not like this, and she offers little in
the way of hope for her affections.

3. What can you say about Hortensio's character after that scene?

After the scene, we can tell that Hortensio is a very needy person that needs attention
exclusively from Bianca or else he will feel bad about it.
