No Regrets

By Shayna O ‘Connell

I wore a smile upon my face

each and every day

I thought everything was alright

but you start to drift away

You lie and make excuses

break promises and such

I really wish that I knew why

I still love you so much

As days go by I wonder

what will we become?

my mind tells me to leave you

but my heart says you’re the one

I’ll love you till the day I die

up until my final breaths

and now I finally understand

true love has no regrets.

Hyperbole

I’ll love you till the day I die (line: 13, stanza 4)

This sentence express exaggerates, what if love doesn't worked out, "you" become another "you", i think this
sentence are too hyperbole.

Up until my final breaths (line: 14, stanza 4)

This is hyperbole, you can love a person and love another person through all your life, through you final breath.

Personification

My mind tells me to leave you (line: 11, stanza 3)

This sentence are personification because “mind tells” the author were using this sentence is if a mind can tell.

But my heart says you’re the one (line 12, stanza 3)

The author write "But my heart says" like the heart literally saying but its not, the author using it as a
personification.
