 Is a fat like substance which is made your liver and also comes from

the food we eat. Which is then packaged into particles like


lipoproteins.

 LDL travels through your blood stream delivering cholesterol to the cells that
need.
 If body has too much LDL it can build up in your walls of arteries.
 LDL and other substances in your artery wall which from a fatty deposit called

 Over time plaque can narrow the artery and reduce blood flow. LDL carry
cholesterol in to the plaque.

 The common place where we can find plaque can build up is in your
coronary arteries which are blood vessels that feed your heart.
 This plaque built up causes coronary artery disease and increase your
risk of heart attack. Which increases of a stroke.
 Your liver makes HDL. Which helps to remove excess cholesterol
from your cells , tissue and from plaque in your blood vessel.
 This is why HDL is called Good cholesterol.
 HDL returns the excess cholesterol to your liver which removes it from
your body.
