Absolutism and its elements

Many people in modern days might not have heard the term absolutism. However, absolutism
is a significant term that is known through history and philosophy. Absolutism is a political
term that refers to the concept that the government has complete power. Absolutism, which is
also known as absolute monarchy occurred in European history the most, was applied by
leaders such as Hitler and Julius Caesar. Absolute monarchy was spread through Europe,
during the 16th to the 18th centuries. However, it was found largely in the western European
states such as Spain, Austria, and Prussia.

In the past, Arabian countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman were known as
absolute monarchies and they are still absolute monarchies till now. This shows that absolute
monarchy is still available nowadays. However, citizens have more rights than how their
ancestors had. Louis XIV, who ruled France as a monarch is one of the most known people
who used his control over people in a harsh way and was one of the most powerful men in
France’s history. However, France is democratic country that doesn’t support absolutism.
