it 138th in the 2021 index. Because of criticism in judicial effectiveness, weak government integrity, and
major difficulties with its health sector, corruption, and over borrowing, the top officials income and
corporate tax rates to be harmonized, the overall score has dropped to 0.4 points. (Heritage foundation

Kenya's government must achieve quick economic growth through trade liberalization, improve its anti-
corruption policies and expedite corruption-related cases, and empower the court to restore its former
grandeur. It is also necessary to bring down political temperatures among the political elite. On the other
hand, the government has been applauded for being transparent when issuing the construction permits
with a reduced fee balances.it has improved the dependence on the electricity supply and made it easier to
resolve insolvency.

In conclusion, this trend is worrying and if it’s not mitigated in advance, the country will run into the
constitutional crisis. The government needs to respect the rule of law and obey the court orders. Also,
government needs to give incentives in order to attract the investors .It needs to lessen the government
bureaucracies and give the investors necessary support.
