Quiz 1 Instructions

1. Exam will start at exactly 8:30 AM via Moodle and will close at exactly 11:30 AM. Open the exam at
exactly 8:30 AM. I will only give 10 mins grace period after which you will received deductions for every
minute late. (I can see in Moodle the exact time you took the exam)
2. Exam consists of multiple choice questions (12 items) and numerical problem solving questions (8 items)
3. Exam was set to “Sequential Mode”. This means that you cannot revisit previous questions. DO NOT SKIP
any question or you will LOSE POINTS.
4. For multiple choice questions, choose the letter of your choice.
5. For problem solving questions (numerical questions), below are the specific instructions:
a. Input your NUMERICAL ANSWER ONLY! Do not include the units.
b. For questions that asks for interests rates, express your answers in DECIMALS and NOT in
percentages.
c. Each of the student will have a unique set of given data. Click on the link below to know your
given value.

d. During the exam, when a problem solving question is shown, take note of the problem number
(indicated by PS#) and look at the corresponding column in the table to know your given data.
Example: If the problem indicates PS#2, then look for your data in column C.
e. Always express your answer in 3 decimal places. Use the “store” and “recall” function of your
calculator to avoid rounding off errors. DO NOT ROUND OFF UNTIL THE FINAL ANSWER or you will
lose points.
