Syntax
- Syntax is the arrangements of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in
language.
- Syntax is also the grammatically structure of sentence.
Samples;
The boy jumped happily.
The girl sang beautifully.
The dog barked loudly.
Each sentence has the same syntax. It follows the structure subject-verb-adverb. However, each
sentence uses different diction.
Universal Grammar is also the theoretical or hypothetical system of categories, operations, and
principles shared by all human language.
Parametric variation in linguistic theory refers to the systematic grammatical variation permitted
by the human language faculty.
Parametric variations can be used to define variations in the deck section along the length of the
bridge.
