This is a story from many years ago, when I was only 10 years old. I used to be an
introvert kind of person. My parents wanted for me to make friends. So, they decided
to enroll me in a basketball academy. I had never played basketball in my life and was
really nervous. I didn't know how to make friends, what should I say, what shouldn't I
say, what did I have to ask? "what's your name? What do you like to do? How old are
you?" Those questions seemed impossible to me. but with time I managed to make
friends and learned how to play. One day when we were playing on the court, after my
team had won many games, I started feeling a little bad, my head hurt and I really
wanted to puke, I ran to the bathroom, I knew I mustn’t run in that hall, because the
floor was slippery, but I still ran seconds later I tripped on the road. I hit my knee and
made a big wound. They took me to the hospital, and then they took me home, I was
locked up at home for 14 days. My parents really freaked out. Since then, I have not
played basketball because of the injury to my knee, but I have kept those friends. This
was a great lesson because now I know that if I am more outgoing, I will have more
friends and probably more injuries, and all thanks to the fact that my parents wanted
me to have friends.
