True Education is the
Integration of Biblical
Principles in Every Area of
Study
A Christian education
isn’t just having a
Bible/religion class
in addition to normal
classes,
Science defines Man as the
highest form of animal
This is wrong because Man
was created by God and
created in His image
Human and Animals are two
different creatures
but an integration of a biblical
worldview into every area of
study. In a science class,
students may learn about
how God’s handiwork is seen
in the natural laws and
design of the world
in physical education, they
may learn about setting a
Christ-like example both on
and off the field. Through
these experiences, students
learn that following God isn’t
limited to one area of life.
That’s why in
sports it is just not
winning but how
you won matters a
lot
Consider this example: for most
families, church is once a week. As
a result, we can unknowingly infer
that we only learn about God once
a week. With a Christian education,
children learn that God doesn’t
only exist on Sunday, but is
constantly at work in the world
each and every day
It must not only focus
on Knowledge and
Skills but also in
Character and Values
In education, it is not only about transferring
knowledge, but also about the ability to use
this knowledge, to acquire, search, process
and use it to implement projects. In some
fields of study, apart from the knowledge
itself, it is important to develop students
'and students' skills, inter alia, regarding the
activation of teamwork, critical thinking,
participation in debates and discussions,
entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity,
specific computer programs related to the
field of study, etc.
Christian Education instills to the
students with the most essential or basic
academic knowledge and skills and
character development. It believes that
teachers should try to embed traditional
moral values and virtues such as respect
for authority, perseverance, fidelity to
duty, consideration for others, and
practicality and intellectual knowledge
that students need to become model
citizens.

Education without
values, as useful as it is,
seems rather to make
man a more clever devil
Alfred Nobel and the History of Dynamite
One particular incident, however, left him with a tortured conscience
thereby changing his life forever. As the tale goes, in 1888, Ludwig,
one of Alfred’s brothers, died. A French newspaper erroneously
confused the deceased’s identity with that of Alfred and published a
scathing obituary entitled, “The Merchant of Death is dead.” It
condemned him for his inventions, criticizing him as the wealthiest
vagabond in Europe who had become rich by finding ways to mutilate
and kill innocents. Virtually every newspaper seemed to find glory in
his supposed demise. The error was later corrected, but life had
granted him a rare opportunity of reading his obituary. What he read
in the newspaper horrified him and left an indelible mark on his
conscience. The devastation led to a re-evaluation and he realized that
the end-result of his life’s work was to be worldwide condemnation.
Fame and fortune now felt like a burden. He began questioning
himself, “Is this how posterity is going to remember me?” “Is this the
legacy that I’ll leave behind?”
He became concerned about his posthumous reputation and decided to
establish a positive legacy. In 1893, Alfred along with his assistant
worked diligently on his will over the next two years. In the four-page
document that he prepared, he selflessly bequeathed over 94% of his
fortune to set up the Nobel Foundation. By the time he wrote his will,
Nobel was highly affluent and owned over 100 factories that made
explosives and munitions. But this was not the way he wanted to be
remembered. Now was the time for a much-needed change. His only
intention was to work for humanity; to reward all those who have
selflessly worked for society and have conferred the greatest benefit
on mankind. The Nobel Foundation laid down five categories in which
prizes were to be awarded- Chemistry, Literature, Medicine, Physics,
and Peace. These were to be presented without any distinction based
on nationality or ethnicity. Then, on November 27th, 1895, Alfred
signed the testament unlike any other and officially donated 35 million
Swedish kronor (almost his entire possession) to the Foundation which
presently amounts to nearly 265 million dollars.
How will Godly
Education benefit our
Country?
corruption is defined as the misuse of entrusted public power or function
for private benefit. This definition underlies the legal definitions of bribery
/ kickbacks

Corruption is a phenomenon in which people (including officials who

solicit bribes) often get involved not only on their free will, but also forced
by superior authorities, as when a subordinate is compelled by his/her
supervisor to take bribes and give the supervisor a share

Corruption, especially when it is pervasive, can be characterized by

behavioural norms that justify and reinforce it, that is, it has become
“culture”. When the whole society, or even separate institutions, are ruled
by the culture of corruption, or where that culture is present, removing
the incentives involving people in corruption, for purposes of reducing its
levels significantly, is not sufficient
Corruption is prevalent in the Philippines. The
country ranked 141 out of 163 countries in
Transparency International’s (TI) 2008
Corruption Perceptions Index
A review of recent literature suggests that all
levels of corruption, from petty bribery to grand
corruption, patronage and state capture, exist in
the Philippines at a considerable scale and
scope. Significant efforts have been made to
combat corruption, which include putting in
place legal and institutional frameworks, as well
as efforts by civil society organisations and the
media.
As a person called to serve

falls short of glorifying
God and honoring his

Example of God’s
people who were
serving as public
servants with
godless leaders
1.Daniel and his three companions,
involuntarily drafted into the service of
Nebuchadnezzar
2.Joseph, sold into slavery by his brothers
and, after multiple new injustices, raised
to be second in command under Pharaoh
3.Erastus, Paul's brother in Christ, who
was the "director of public works" or
treasurer for the decidedly ungodly city
of Corinth, from where Paul wrote the
letter to the Romans Romans 16:23

Godly education
produces the best
ethical standard in the
workplace
Ethics is defined as “the branch of
philosophy that deals with issues of
right and wrong in human affairs”.
Other definition “refers to well-
founded standards of right and wrong
that prescribe what humans ought to
do, usually in terms of rights,
obligations, benefits to society,
fairness, or specific virtue”.
Administrative and disciplinary cases stem
from failure to uphold ethical standards.
A public servant who does not spend all paid
hours in official work is already stealing from
the Filipino people.
Someone who does not report an anomalous
transaction may have just allowed something
worse to happen.
Sexual harassment in the workplace is also
unethical and wrong. Today, we seem to be
more and more lax on what we consider as
unethical.
It is alright to overlook things sometimes, or to let
things pass. We tend to say, OK lang ‘yan, lahat
naman ginagawa ‘yan. But as they say, we become
what we repeatedly do. Habits soon become
lifestyles. By not being vigilant enough, we become
participants in maintaining an unethical culture. In
government, it is important to care enough so as to
stop or stem unethical practices before they
become ingrained or systemic. The more we “let
things pass”, the more ethical standards get
lowered
God’s testimony is of
the utmost importance
