"Quality Control Department": Plan-Do-Check Model
Quality control, or QC for short, is a process by which entities review the quality
of all factors involved in production ISO 9000 defines quality control as "A part of
quality management focused on fulfilling quality requirement”
The basic tool for the improvement of the quality control department is
plan-do-check-act model , also called the Deming Cycle.
PLAN-DO-CHECK MODEL:
Plan: Identify an opportunity and plan for change.
Check: Use data to analyze the results of the change and determine whether
it made a difference.
Act: If the change was successful, implement it on a wider scale and continuously
assess the results. If unsuccessful, begin the cycle again.
INITIAL STEP:
Assemble the team to identify a specific process issue requiring improvement.
