The system has a rated working pressure of 1000kPa at 30°C. Cut the PE-X pipe to length using the BPEX pipe cutter or similar plastic pipe cutter. Slight pressure as if to twist the cutter around the pipe will aid cutting, Fig. 4 2. Check that the pipe end is clean, cut square and free of burr and without surface damage. Place brass nut and olive ring in Brass Fitting or Plastic nut and collet in Polymer Fitting Fig. 2 3. Push a brass nozzle / fitting sleeve fully into the pipe end. Fig. 3 Tighten nut over Olive Ring or Plastic Collet. Fig. 4 5. When enclosing B-PEX fittings in floor screed and masonry walls, tape joints with masking tape to prevent cement particles from entering the fittings.
