The topic is about Agrarian Reform, we know that the agrarian reform here in the
Philippines was a failure. Farmers here remain dissatisfied and still the poorest
among the poor. It's because of how the government handles the Agrarian Reform
in every administration, the government is not that competitive to lift the local
farmers. They are currently simply focused on the main issues such as drugs,
terrorism, climate changes and any other forms of local and global issues.
Especially now, we are all distracted and focused on how we survive this
pandemic. Not knowing that the local farmers are still the poorest among the poor
and not only the farmers but also to other landless citizens.
Land reform in the Philippines has been highly political issue for countries
because of its sluggish performance. Despite decades of land reform study, there
still seems to be no consensus on the role of land reform in achieving the overall
sustainable development of growth based on justice, and involvement. Politicians,
local officials, administrators, and social scientists need objective and reliable
research, as well as precise information on its possible and actual consequences,
as well as the pros and cons of such ambitious and divisive initiatives as land
reforms. Government must know that these poor citizens need their help. To be
able to formulate a policy for the empowerment of rural populations in developing
countries. Experts can still plan costly demonstration projects without a real will
for change, they will struggle to achieve widespread improvement in the number
of farmers. Only advocacy groups, such as representatives of NGOs specialized in
the protection of special interests or other organizations, as well as persuaded
officials, may accomplish this change. Helping everyone that is in need will benefit
the people and also the economic growth of our country.
