Airline procedures

The Garuda Indonesia airline, on its official website, states that passenger baggage only includes
items, objects or other properties that are used and needed for comfort during the trip. Garuda
Indonesia provides access to view information regarding baggage status by entering the name and
reference number provided by the officer when reporting. Passengers are required to report to the
Baggage Service office in the arrivals area before leaving the airport when the baggage is not received
on arrival or the baggage is damaged. If you are using an international flight, the time limit for
reporting the damage is seven days. The report must be accompanied by a document baggage tag
number, identity card, and boarding pass. Then, the officer will provide evidence of the report,
namely the Property Irregularity Report (PIR). This process is carried out within 14 days. If found, the
baggage will be delivered to the address recorded in the PIR document. If the baggage is not found, a
compensation claim can be made. Reporting of loss or damage to baggage received after leaving the
arrival area (except for international flights) or not accompanied by complete mandatory documents,
will be followed up without any obligation to provide compensation.
