QUIZ ON WRITING ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

Currently, the high rate of increasing cases of complex diseases is increasingly tro
ubling. This problem is the responsibility of health workers who are led to be mor
e skilled in improving the quality of public health. The concept of collaboration is
said to be an effort to solve health problems. Meanwhile, IPE is an educational pr
ogram initiated as a collaborative medium. IPE is expected to be a consideration f
or institutions in improving the quality of graduates.This study aims to assess med
ical students' perceptions of IPE and analyze differences in perceptions by gender
and age. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive analysis design and
cross sectional research design. The sample of this study was 40 medical students
at UMY class of 2019 using the disproportionate stratified random sampling
method. Quantitative data were collected using the IEPS (Inter-professional
Education Perception Scale) questionnaire. The results showed that the perception
of IPE was mostly good, around 98.7%. The questionnaire used used 18 valid
statement items. Female respondents have better perceptions than males. Based on
the age of the respondents, it did not provide a very significant difference,
meaning that all participants had a good perception of IPE. By looking at this
phenomenon, IPE needs to be applied in learning so that they can improve the
quality of health workers.
