Mike Coffee Cup Cozy

Materials:
1. 4.0 mm hook
2. Lily Sugar 'n Cream yarn in Hot Green
3. Lily Sugar 'n Cream yarn in white
4. Lily Sugar 'n Cream yarn in ecru
5. Worsted weight yarn in aqua
6. black plastic button
7. yarn needle
8. black embroidery floss
Stitches Used:
• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• ss = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)
• mc= magic circle

Directions:
Using green yarn, ch 41

Being careful not to twist the chain, join with ss to first ch.

ch 1, turn

Round 1: [sc, dc] repeat around. Join with ss to first sc, ch 1, turn

Round 2: [sc into the dc from previous round, dc into sc from previous round] repeat around alternating
sc and dc, join with ss to first sc, ch 1, turn

Round 3-9: Repeat round 2.

Join with ss to first sc of round. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

MIKE'S EYE:
using aqua, make a magic circle

Row 1: 4 sc into mc
Row 2: 2 sc into each sc around (8sc)
Row 3: [2sc, sc] repeat around changing to white in last sc. Join to first sc of round, ch 3 (12sc)
Row 4: dc into same st as join, dc in next, 2dc into next *dc 2, 2dc* repeat from * around. Join
with ss to first dc (16dc) Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing to the cozy.

Sew black button to center of the eye. Sew the eye to the cozy.

Using the embroidery floss, embroider a little mouth under the eye and to the side, use
picture for guide.
MIKE'S HORNS:
(make 2)

using ecru, make a magic circle

Row 1: sc 4 into mc
Row 2: sc in each st (4sc)
ss into next stitch, fasten off leaving a tail for sewing to top of cozy.
