Ninja Turtle Crochet Coffee Cup Cozy

Materials:
1. 3.5 mm crochet hook
2. 4.0 mm crochet hook
3. 2 black buttons (10mm)
4. green worsted weight yarn
5. orange, red, purple or blue worsted weight yarn
6. light weight yarn in white

Stitches Used:
• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• ss = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)
• mc= magic circle
Directions:
COZY:
using green and 4.0mm hook,

ch 41
Being careful not to twist the chain, join with ss to first ch
ch 1, turn

Round 1: [sc, dc] repeat around. Join with ss to first sc, ch 1, turn

Round 2: [sc into the dc from previous round, dc into sc from previous round] repeat around, join
with ss to first sc, ch 1, turn
Change yarn to mask color

Round 3-6: Repeat Round 2. After round 6, change yarn back to green.

Round 7-9: Repeat Round 2. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

EYES:
using white and 3.5mm hook

make a magic circle

Round 1: sc 4 into mc

Round 2: 2sc into each sc around (8sc)

Round 3: [sc, 2sc] repeat around (12sc) ss to first sc

Fasten off. Leave a tail for sewing to cozy. Sew the black buttons onto the eyes.
MASK TIES:
using mask color and 4.0 mm hook,
ch 10
sc in 2nd ch from hook
sc in next 7 chs
2sc into last ch
Now working on opposite side of ch, sc 8.
ss to first sc, fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.

Attach ties to back of cozy lining them up with the top of the mask line.
