In recent times, the phenomenon of radicalism has reemerged re-occurred.

Simultaneously, one
of the civil society organizations, PP GP Ansor, actively proclaims resistance againstto
radicalism. Therefore, So this research is based on how the role of civil society organization
plays its role in countering radicalism in Jatinangor District.
This study was examined using role theory initiated by Afan Gaffar to analyze how the role of
civil society organization in socio-political and community. Alsolso, Manuel Castells's theory of
soft power that overcomes resolves radicalization can be through a “soft power” approachh”,
using persuasive approaches, dialoguedialogue, and discussion. RThis research appliedusing
qualitative descriptive method with case study strategy and descriptive analysis. Data on the
research was obtained through interviews, observationsobservations, and documentation studies.
The results showed that GP Ansor Jatinangor has a strategic role as a civil society organization
that is quite good for itsin its participationon toin helping to counter radicalism in Jatinangor
District. GP Ansor Jatinangor's activities related toas efforts to counter radicalism through
persuasive approaches, dialogue and discussion include: 1) Darmaji (Munadzaroh Kopdar and
Ngaji); 2) Ngabaso (Ngaji Bareng Ansor); and 3) Diklatsar Banser. GpP Ansor Jatinangor's
participation in countering radicalism can notcannot be separated from generalizations, stigmas,
and accusations that lead to the motives of socio-political symbols.
