A Father’s Part – Hagin

By Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink?
or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles
seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the
morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the
evil thereof  (Matt. 6:31-34).

Added to you! Not taken away! That proves that the Father cares for His own.

Another translation reads, “Be not therefore anxious for the morrow.” You see,
God doesn’t want His children to be anxious, or to worry.

In today’s passage, God is saying, “Have no worry, no fret, no anxiety. Because I

am your Heavenly Father, I know you have need of these things. But seek first
the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added
unto you.”

That’s what God our Father is saying! If God is your Father, you may be assured
that He will take a father’s place and perform a father’s part. You may be certain
that if God is your Father, He loves you, and He will care for you. Praise God,
I’m glad He’s my Father! Is He yours?

Confession: I do not worry about what I shall eat or drink, or what I shall
wear. My Heavenly Father knows I have need of all these things. I have sought
first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things are added
unto me.
