that time india were importing swabs from US and china, so COVID-19 testing had been slow
due to the lack of testing kits, high costs, logistical difficulties etc. Suparshva Swabs India

production line from cotton buds and cotton balls to making polyester swabs for testing. By
june 2020 they were producing 5 million swabs a week. When the second wave of covid hit
india in march 2021 they ramped up their production to a great extent, they were meeting the
two-thirds swabs requirement of india.
