● In Japanese, hana means flowers and mi means sight.

So it can be
translated to sight of flowers, and especially the flowers of the cherry
tree.
● It is a very old japanese tradition and an event that happens every
year.

The hanami would have been started by a nobleman from the time of Nara, 1300
years ago, and at first he seemed to admire the plum blossoms that came from
China.

In the Heian era, there was a change. The Japanese people began to admire the
cherry blossoms.

Hanami normally starts at the beginning of April, when the cherry trees start
to bloom all over the country and end at the middle of May .

● During that time , there are many festivals and a lot of travelers come
to assist them .

People wear traditionals outfits, cook traditional food and decorate streets.

They all go outside under the trees for picnics and have fun with family and
friends.

During the night, there are many fireworks and fairs.

Some people even sleep outside.

I think that hanami is a beautiful tradition about admiring

nature.Since it doesn't have any religious meaning, everyone can
participate and I really want to see it one day.
