8. Accessory Units 8.1 Adjusting Die Height and Die Clamping Force 8.1.1 Goneral Descriptions Die height is adjusted by the die height adjust ploying @ hydraulic motor. When the DIE HEIGHT ADJ, selector sitch is set to “AUTO", die clamping force is regulated automaticaly. When the same switch is set to "MAN", manual operation is possible by means of ‘selector pushbutton switches for continuous and inching operations. ‘This paragraph describes the adjusting procedures when the DIE HEIGHT ADM. ssolactor switch is set to "MAN" 8:12 Specifications of Die Height Adjusting Unit (1). Die height adjusting speed: 50 ~150 mm/min. (2) Hydraulic motor: ME4100~C 81.3 Interlock Die height can be adjusted only when al conditions given below are satisfied. (1) The CYCLE key switch is set to "MAN" (2) The TIE BAR OPERATION selector switch is set to "OFF* (8) The DIE HEIGHT ADJ. selector switch is set to "MAN (4) Limit switches 1NLLS, 2NLLS, 1NFSW, 2NFSW, 1TILS and 2TILS are set ON. (9) After the adjustment is finished, return the idle gears that were pulled out tothe previous condition and open the air unit valve, Make sure that the brake cylinder activates to turn on the brake. (10) Retum the die height high speed regulating valve (C2G20) to the normal opening (11) Sotthe AGC adjust switch (PC MAX) to “OFF (12) After repeating die clamping and ie opening 2 ~ 3 times, exert a 10 % load on the die block (13) Confirm the die paralleism according to Steps (6) and (6) of Para. 8.2.1. Flepeat Steps (1) to (12) above until the value falls under the specified range. (14) _Aftor making sure thatthe parallelism fas under the reference value, open the dies and stop the pumps. (15) Remove the idle gear remover and attach the idle gear cover instoad. Remove the measuring die block, then start the pumps. (16) Operate the dle height adjusting unit and make sure that it moves forward and backward smoothly. Now adjustment of die parallelism is finished. sTEg6713, 83 Tie-Bar IN/OUT Operation IN[OUT operation is performed by means of the selector switches the operation box.
